'The Baltimore Waltz:' A Funhouse Mirror of the Absurd / by Jerald Pierce

So begins a letter sent to Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel from her brother Carl in the late 1980s. Carl was dying from AIDS. The letter became a source of inspiration for Vogel's play The Baltimore Waltz, which opens in the Department of Drama on March 31.
